Host/Hostess – Luxury Restaurant

About the role

Join the award‑winning team at Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s largest resort, as a Host/Hostess in our luxury restaurant. Reporting to the Maître d’, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome, efficient seating, and a personalized dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests with a professional, friendly, and engaging demeanor to create an exceptional first impression.
• Seat guests according to the floor‑plan strategy, balancing fairness among servers and optimizing table placement.
• Present menus, take drink orders, and assist with menu explanations, including wine pairings and specials.
• Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs while maintaining courteous professionalism.
• Manage the restaurant reservation system – in‑person, phone, and digital bookings.
• Communicate reservation changes, cancellations, VIP arrivals, and special occasions to management and service staff.
• Identify VIP guests and personalize service based on preferences and special occasions.
