Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Security Officer to join the luxury hospitality team at Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda. The role ensures the safety of guests, staff and property by providing professional, guest‑focused security services in a dynamic resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas of the 593‑room resort to deter and detect security risks.
• Monitor CCTV, alarm and other surveillance equipment to identify suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to incidents such as theft, vandalism, disturbances, fire alarms or medical emergencies.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team, supporting evacuations and safety procedures.
• Enforce hotel policies, access‑control procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist guests with directions, inquiries and information about safety procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel or corporate security or a related security role.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively during emergencies.
• Physical fitness to conduct regular patrols and respond to incidents.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
