Assistant Director – Blockchain, Forensics & Data Intelligence

About the role

We are supporting a leading financial services regulator in Bermuda and are looking for an Assistant Director to lead blockchain forensics, AI and data intelligence initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of blockchain analytics, advanced analytics and financial regulation, helping supervise digital assets and emerging fintech services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse on‑chain, off‑chain and supervisory data to detect patterns, anomalies and emerging risks.
• Develop AI‑enabled analytical models, risk indicators and early‑warning tools.
• Design and maintain blockchain forensic tools, dashboards and analytical workflows.
• Produce data‑driven insights for risk assessments, thematic reviews and regulatory decisions.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear intelligence for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, blockchain analysis or financial intelligence.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, SQL and R (or similar languages).
• Experience with data visualisation and dashboarding tools.
• Practical blockchain / distributed‑ledger analytics experience.
