Senior Actuarial Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join a leading insurance client in Bermuda. The role involves conducting supervisory compliance reviews, statutory return analysis, and solvency capital assessments for a portfolio of life (re)insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform supervisory reviews of a compliance nature and analyse statutory returns.
• Evaluate solvency capital requirements and monitor financial resources of Bermudian‑registered life insurers.
• Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and action plans to senior stakeholders.
• Conduct risk‑focused on‑site reviews to assess adequacy of capital and reserves.
• Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and accounting standards affecting the life insurance sector.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, insurance, actuarial science, accounting or risk management, or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance or financial services, preferably within life insurance.
• Working knowledge of US, Asian and European regulatory frameworks for life insurers (e.g., US RBC, Solvency II) is advantageous.
