Stewarding & Set‑Up Attendant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a Stewarding & Set‑Up Attendant to join the luxury hotel team at Fairmont Southampton. Reporting to the Executive Chief Steward, you will ensure all food‑and‑beverage areas are clean, organized and ready for service, supporting both culinary and banqueting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and maintain kitchen areas, including dishwashing and pot‑washing stations, sinks, floors and food‑preparation equipment.
• Operate and maintain dishwashers and pot‑washers in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Wash, polish and store dishes, silverware, glassware and kitchen tools to brand standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils and equipment throughout each shift.
• Set up restaurants, banquet rooms and beach venues before, during and after service, ensuring proper tableware placement and presentation.
• Support event set‑up and breakdown, coordinating with culinary and banqueting teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel or resort stewarding, kitchen support or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to hygiene, safety and presentation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.

Required skills

• Dishwasher and pot‑washer operation.
• Sanitation and hygiene procedures for food service areas.
• Polishing and proper storage of dishes, glassware and silverware.
