Technical Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Financial Accountant to join a leading global reinsurer. The role focuses on IFRS reporting, financial management, and ensuring compliance with reinsurance agreements and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process technical bookings and settlements in line with reinsurance agreements, sanctions regulations, IFRS and Bermuda statutory requirements.
• Investigate aged accounts receivable and unallocated cash balances, resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Follow and improve the internal control framework, including documentation.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances to support quarterly closing.
• Provide accounting support to internal stakeholders and manage deliverables.
• Participate in ad‑hoc reporting and project work as required.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum two years post‑qualification experience in accounting and reporting within an international (re)insurance environment.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• High integrity, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
