Actuarial Analyst, Pricing – Savings & Retirement

About the role

The Savings & Retirement (S&R) team at Pacific Life Re is looking for an analytically minded Actuarial Analyst to join its Deal Pricing group. You will support the pricing of reinsurance transactions across global retirement markets, developing expertise in actuarial, investment, and commercial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Support pricing of S&R transactions by performing analysis, preparing inputs, and contributing to quote delivery.
• Develop, test, and implement pricing methodologies, proposition enhancements, and model improvements.
• Maintain and enhance pricing models, tools, and databases for accurate pricing.
• Collect, validate, and analyse investment and market data (interest rates, credit spreads, FX rates, asset characteristics) from Bloomberg and internal teams.
• Assess capital implications of transactions under regulatory and internal frameworks.
• Collaborate with Deal Pricing, Insurance Pricing, asset management, and Client Solutions teams.
• Monitor market developments and evaluate their impact on pricing competitiveness.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving pricing models, controls, automation, and governance.

Required profile

• Strong quantitative and analytical background.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with actuarial, investment, and client‑facing teams.
• Interest in reinsurance, savings, and retirement products.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on governance and pricing hurdles.
