Actuarial Consultant – Insurance Solutions

About the role

Deloitte’s Bermuda actuarial practice is seeking motivated individuals to join our Consulting (Actuarial & Insurance Solutions) team. You will work on life insurer and reinsurer projects, delivering valuation, pricing, capital management and regulatory reporting solutions while gaining exposure to the evolving Bermuda regulatory landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute actuarial projects for life insurance clients, including valuation, reporting and modelling tasks.
• Support clients in navigating IFRS 17, US GAAP and US statutory reporting requirements.
• Contribute to client deliverables under senior guidance and participate in business development activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide advisory services across the insurance value chain.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of relevant actuarial or insurance‑related experience.
• Progress towards or attainment of Fellowship with a recognized actuarial body (SOA, CAS, IFoA, etc.).
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with actuarial modelling platforms such as MG‑ALFA or GGY AXIS.
• Knowledge of actuarial reporting frameworks: IFRS 17, US GAAP, US statutory.
