Architectural Assistant

About the role

OBMI is seeking an Architectural Assistant to join its Bermuda studio. You will work on a diverse portfolio of high‑end residential, hospitality, commercial and healthcare projects, supporting architects from concept through to construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, models and schedules at all design stages, from concept to construction documents.
• Develop design ideas and options under the direction of the project architect.
• Assist with planning and building control submissions and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Produce presentation material, sketches and visualisations for client meetings.
• Research materials, products and precedents, and maintain drawing standards and project files.
• Attend site visits and project meetings, take notes and follow up on actions.

Required profile

• Master’s or equivalent degree in Architecture (ARB Part 2 or comparable).
• 1–2 years post‑graduate experience.
• Strong drawing ability in both 2D and 3D with attention to presentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and good organisational habits.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to ask questions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Enscape or similar rendering platforms.
• Competence in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
