Assistant Digital Product Manager

About the role

HSBC is seeking an Assistant Digital Product Manager to support the Digital Product Manager in delivering seamless online journeys for millions of customers. You will help ensure that digital products perform as expected and drive continuous optimisation using data and insight.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor product performance and optimise online journeys across mobile, online banking, branch and conversational channels.
• Analyse customer needs, market trends and technology enablers to define, build and run end‑to‑end journeys.
• Identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities by standardising systems and automating processes.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, architects and engineers to enhance platform resilience.
• Coordinate cross‑reporting with digital channel and customer experience teams to deliver business‑focused improvements.
• Partner with product managers to shape roadmaps, define journeys and consult distribution and risk stakeholders.
• Guide the creation of user stories, work with design and copy teams to develop features that align with design principles.

Required profile

• Strong business analysis, requirements gathering and design‑thinking capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, manage conflict and build relationships.
• Curiosity about customer trends and a passion for future‑focused thinking.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and apply business knowledge quickly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using JIRA.
• Familiarity with Confluence.
