Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

The Assistant Financial Controller will support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate monthly financial reporting, managing regulatory filings and coordinating year‑end audit activities across the Coralisle Group of Companies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure all balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts are reconciled.
• Identify accounting issues, implement corrective actions and support internal control improvements.
• Assist the Vice President in developing and reviewing finance procedural manuals.
• Prepare year‑end working papers and coordinate external audit processes.
• Manage regulatory filings and support cash‑management activities to maintain sufficient liquidity.
• Contribute to annual budget preparation and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Undertake special projects and cross‑company initiatives as directed by senior finance leadership.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA) and a university degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years experience preparing financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and intermediate‑level proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience supervising or managing junior staff is preferred.
