Associate Actuary – Bermuda

About the role

The Bermuda Actuarial team of Global Atlantic, a KKR subsidiary, is looking for an Associate Actuary to support the quarterly valuation production process and serve as a liaison between Actuarial, IT, Risk, and Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end Best Estimate Liability (BEL) process for the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) framework.
• Analyze BEL results, prepare clear insights and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Perform stress and sensitivity testing to aid management decision‑making.
• Contribute to modernization and automation of the valuation production workflow.
• Produce comprehensive documentation for internal governance, audit, and regulatory reviews.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in the (re)insurance industry.
• ASA (or equivalent) actively working toward Fellowship designation, or FSA/equivalent.
• Strong understanding of life and annuity products.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive ownership of tasks and persistence in problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Python programming (preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query.
• Experience with actuarial modeling software (MG ALFA preferred).
