Associate – Relationship Management (Banking)

About the role

The Associate role at HSBC provides dedicated relationship management for a portfolio of corporate and institutional customers. You will be accountable for sales, service, risk, and operational delivery across Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Banking, Private Banking or Product Sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and grow sustainable business opportunities, expanding client relationships through HSBC’s network.
• Drive revenue by understanding client needs and delivering needs‑based solutions.
• Manage resources to optimise the quality and timing of client visits.
• Collaborate with Group colleagues to design appropriate solutions.
• Conduct proactive credit risk assessments and customer due‑diligence reviews.
• Manage financial‑crime risk throughout the client lifecycle, escalating and mitigating issues as required.
• Ensure compliance with HSBC operational risk standards and report breaches.
• Stay updated on HSBC products, competitor offerings and market changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing corporate & institutional relationships with an international focus.
• Proven ability to match client needs with a broad range of banking products and services.
• Knowledge of trade finance, global payments and related banking solutions.
