Chief Financial Officer for Bermuda Reinsurance Platform

About the role

Seven30 Re, a newly incorporated Bermuda exempted company owned by TIAA, is looking for a senior finance leader to serve as Chief Financial Officer for its Class E reinsurance platform. The CFO will own financial stewardship, reporting, capital planning, liquidity and collateral management, and will act as a key advisor to executive leadership and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all finance functions including accounting oversight, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and internal controls.
• Oversee statutory, regulatory and Board reporting in compliance with Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements and applicable accounting standards.
• Support evaluation, structuring and execution of affiliated and third‑party reinsurance transactions, assessing accounting, capital, liquidity and collateral impacts.
• Develop and maintain the company’s capital management framework, including stress testing, dividend capacity analysis and long‑term financial projections.
• Partner with investment, treasury, actuarial and risk teams on asset‑liability management, liquidity planning, hedging oversight and collateral management.
• Engage with rating agencies, regulators, auditors, banking partners and external advisors to support the firm’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, CFA, FSA, FIA or ACCA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, retirement services or a comparable financial institution.
• Proven experience supporting senior executives, Boards of Directors and external stakeholders.
