Corporate Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

The role provides dedicated relationship management to a portfolio of corporate banking customers, with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. It involves collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance, as well as external client interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Focus on sustainable business growth by identifying opportunities to expand the portfolio and broaden client relationships.
• Drive revenue growth through a needs‑based approach, understanding client needs and delivering appropriate solutions.
• Manage work and support resources to improve quality and timeliness of client visits.
• Collaborate with Group colleagues to deliver tailored, needs‑based solutions.
• Conduct proactive credit risk assessments and customer due‑diligence reviews.
• Manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle, including identification, assessment, monitoring and escalation.
• Ensure compliance with HSBC operational risk standards, policies and reporting requirements.
• Stay informed on HSBC products, competitor offerings and market developments.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of corporate clients’ businesses and industries.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and deliver fair outcomes.
• Experience in credit risk assessment and due‑diligence processes.
• Knowledge of financial crime risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with internal stakeholders.
