Director of Corporate Development – Pricing

About the role

Talcott Financial Group is seeking a technically strong, business‑oriented professional to join its Corporate Development team. The Director of Corporate Development – Pricing will support complex reinsurance and M&A transactions, applying advanced modeling and financial analysis to shape pricing strategy and drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead diligence, structuring, and underwriting of new reinsurance and M&A opportunities.
• Develop and maintain pricing and rate‑setting models for non‑guaranteed contract elements and new business proposals.
• Evaluate and model transactions, combining technical financial and regulatory knowledge with creative problem‑solving.
• Prepare presentation materials for executive teams, investment committees, boards, investors, rating agencies, and regulators.
• Support financial reporting, valuation, and risk‑management teams with actuarial model ownership and controls.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional areas and assume additional responsibilities to advance enterprise priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, finance, business or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance or finance with expertise in pricing and liability management.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Actuarial modeling and pricing model development.
• Advanced financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and financial concepts in reinsurance.
