Fitness Trainer

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s largest resort, is seeking a Fitness Trainer to design, lead and supervise fitness programs and personal training sessions for guests. Reporting to the Director of Spa, you will create safe, effective and engaging workouts while delivering the high‑standard wellness experience expected by Fairmont guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, aerobics, strength training, functional training and specialty programs.
• Provide personalized training: assess fitness levels, develop tailored workout plans and monitor guest progress.
• Educate guests on proper exercise techniques, wellness practices and injury prevention.
• Motivate and inspire guests to ensure an outstanding wellness experience consistent with Fairmont brand standards.
• Supervise the fitness area to maintain cleanliness, safety and proper equipment functioning.
• Maintain and organize fitness equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of fitness and exercise physiology.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to assess fitness levels and design appropriate workout programs.
