General Accountant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Fairmont Southampton is seeking a General Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will help maintain the financial integrity of Bermuda’s largest resort and support its operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Record, review and process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, income audit and cash management.
• Maintain general ledger integrity through reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements such as balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist with group billing processes and provide accurate financial data to operational departments.

Required profile

• Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams to support financial performance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate financial reporting.
• Understanding of internal control principles.
