Head of Operations – Bermuda

About the role

HSBC is seeking a Head of Operations for its Bermuda unit. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead on‑shore, off‑shore and outsourced service delivery, ensuring best‑in‑class operations for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a financial‑services operations team across on‑shore and off‑shore locations, driving customer excellence, efficiency and revenue growth.
• Identify and deliver cost and headcount optimisation in line with agreed targets.
• Ensure strict adherence to policies, procedures, controls and local regulations while managing operational risk.
• Oversee outsourced activities, including Global Service Centres and third‑party providers, maintaining high service standards.
• Provide regular management information, monitor service levels and manage volume spikes against SLAs.
• Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders to align operational delivery with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in operations within the financial services sector.
• Strong track record of transformational improvement and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage large, geographically dispersed teams.
