Laundry Attendant

About the role

Join the award‑winning team at Fairmont Southampton and support the smooth operation of the resort’s laundry services. As a Laundry Attendant you will handle guest, staff and hotel linens, ensuring they meet the high standards of cleanliness and presentation expected by our luxury brand.

Key responsibilities

• Sort laundry by type, fabric and care requirements for guest, staff and hotel items.
• Operate washers, dryers, ironers, steamers and folding machines safely and efficiently.
• Wash, dry, fold, press and spot‑clean items following established procedures and machine settings.
• Treat stains using approved cleaning agents and methods.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, quality and damage before returning them to service.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and adequate supply levels in the laundry room and related work areas.

Required profile

• Reliability and attention to detail in handling guest and hotel linens.
• Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards.
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting and moving laundry loads.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support housekeeping operations.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers, steamers, folders).
• Knowledge of stain treatment and proper use of cleaning agents.
