Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure the safety, functionality and overall condition of Fairmont Southampton’s facilities, guest rooms and equipment. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the role supports daily operations by promptly addressing maintenance requests and performing preventive upkeep across the resort.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and staff, minimizing disruption.
• Carry out repairs and routine maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces and other hotel facilities.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping and other departments to communicate maintenance status and room readiness.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building systems to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and general building systems.
• Identify potential issues proactively and recommend corrective actions.
