Operations Analyst – Reinsurance Operations

About the role

Hamilton Re is seeking an Operations Analyst to join its reinsurance operations team, based in either Ireland or Bermuda. Reporting to the AVP, Operations Manager, you will ensure the integrity of underwriting data and provide best‑in‑class support to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review accurate recording of underwriting transactions in SICS.
• Execute control processes to maintain data integrity and timely reporting.
• Manage receivable and payable balances, ensuring effective credit control and broker follow‑up.
• Prepare underwriting cash reconciliations and process Letters of Credit.
• Assist with creation and updating of process documentation.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and suggest process improvements.
• Participate in interim and year‑end external and internal audit processes.
• Support process improvement projects and system enhancements through cross‑department collaboration.
• Perform implementation testing and prepare related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and assist with ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar role within the reinsurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance and insurance contract terms and structures (preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of SICS or a comparable underwriting system (advantage).
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with high accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive to adopt new technologies that increase efficiency.
