Risk Director

About the role

Everest Global Services is seeking a Risk Director to lead enterprise risk capital modelling, with a focus on Bermuda regulatory requirements. The role sits within the Financial Risk team and collaborates across Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial and Investments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and challenge regulatory capital calculations, including BSCR for Group and US entities.
• Maintain and enhance BSCR calculation tools (Excel, actuarial software, internal models) for accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement BMA rules and guidance into modelling processes.
• Analyse regulatory capital trends and provide insights on capital adequacy, risk appetite and strategic decisions.
• Conduct capital impact assessments, stress tests and explore optimisation opportunities such as reinsurance strategies and intra‑group transactions.
• Communicate complex capital concepts to senior non‑actuarial stakeholders and deliver training.
• Design robust governance controls, documentation and support audit requests related to regulatory capital.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Bermuda regulation and BSCR calculations.
• Strong actuarial background and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Proven capability to translate technical capital concepts for senior management.
• Experience in developing governance frameworks and documentation.
