Senior Investments Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Investments Analyst to join our Investments and Treasury team in Bermuda. The role supports the Chief Investment Officer in preparing management reports, overseeing the portfolio, and performing risk analytics while driving process improvements across investment operations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Produce daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on portfolio risk metrics and investment performance.
• Maintain relationships with investment managers and third‑party service providers.
• Prepare presentation materials for senior management and the Investment Committee.
• Develop dashboards to monitor investments, performance and risk.
• Enhance stress‑testing and scenario analysis using Aladdin.
• Track Level 3 investments, cash flows, valuations and income.
• Assist with Strategic Asset Allocation reviews and due‑diligence on new investments.
• Leverage AI tools to synthesize investment information.
• Assess investment suitability against regulatory, capital, liquidity and risk‑appetite criteria.
• Support rating‑agency and regulatory survey submissions.
• Evaluate accounting implications of investment decisions and draft technical memos.
• Assist with quarterly external reporting, including investment narratives and fair‑value verification.
• Monitor FX exposure, review hedging activities and optimise currency risk management.
• Support treasury operations and cash management.
• Lead and manage ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• CFA designation required; professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or ACA) is a strong advantage.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in insurance asset management.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with solid knowledge of capital markets and strategic asset allocation.

Required skills

• BlackRock Aladdin (or equivalent) investment system.
• Clearwater or comparable investment platform.
• Understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency with analytical and reporting tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
