Senior Property Insurance Broker (AVP/VP)

About the role

AON (Bermuda) Ltd. is seeking an experienced senior broker to lead its Property team within the Insurance Brokerage Division. The role focuses on building and managing a portfolio of North American and international Fortune 1000 property insurance business while providing strategic risk solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, retain, and grow a book of Fortune 1000 property insurance accounts across North America and internationally.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, senior underwriters, and carriers, leveraging proven market and peer networks.
• Analyze underwriting data, present risk analyses, and negotiate coverage terms based on client exposures.
• Ensure compliance with AON processes and deliver consistent professional service.
• Mentor junior brokers, sharing technical knowledge and market insights.
• Travel for client meetings and entertainment outside normal business hours as required.
• Collaborate with internal producers and external market participants to drive business growth.

Required profile

• University degree in a business‑related field.
• 7 years (AVP) or 10 years (VP) recent property insurance broking experience.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, and general business terminology.
• Proven experience with North American retail brokers and Fortune 1000 clients.
• Experience implementing global risk‑management programs and leading client/market meetings.
• Broad property expertise covering General Property, Energy, Construction, and Facilities.
• Deep understanding of risk and exposure analysis, including catastrophic modeling, MFL, PML, and loss expectancies.
• High proficiency in interpreting insurance policy and contract language.
