Senior Specialist, Financial Reporting & Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist to join our Alternative Capital Finance team. You will own the preparation and delivery of high‑quality financial accounting and reporting for our Alternative Capital strategies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for investors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly Net Asset Value (NAV), Income Statement and Balance Sheet reports for investors.
• Assist in the preparation and review of annual audited financial statements for funds, special‑purpose insurers and the insurance manager, ensuring IFRS compliance.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, addressing queries and facilitating audit processes.
• Support regulatory filings including SPI, BMA, statutory returns and economic substance reports.
• Prepare accounting entries and quarterly group reporting for the insurance manager and ceded ILS programs.
• Manage bordereau preparation, review and settlement within contractual deadlines.
• Contribute to process improvements for financial accounting and reporting across Ceded Re and Alternative Capital strategies.
• Collaborate with AXA XL finance teams, Operations, Ceded Re and Divisional Finance to ensure data accuracy and efficient workflow.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) with solid experience in financial reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Proactive attitude with a high sense of accountability.
• Experience working with investors, regulators and external auditors.
