Shift Building Operator – Plant Engineer

About the role

Join Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s largest resort, as a Shift Building Operator – Plant Engineer. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the hotel’s critical plant equipment and building systems, ensuring uninterrupted resort operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and monitoring of central plant equipment and building systems.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, and emergency generator systems.
• Manage reverse osmosis water treatment, wastewater, and water transfer systems.
• Monitor system performance through the Building Automation System (BAS) and respond to alarms and faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency of all plant equipment.
• Support emergency response and assist the broader Engineering team with overall building performance.

Required profile

• Reports to the Director, Engineering & Facility Operations.
• Works on a shift schedule to provide 24/7 plant coverage.
