Tax & Regulatory Reporting Analyst

About the role

Pillar Capital Management Limited is seeking a Tax & Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support tax and regulatory reporting, investor tax documentation, and compliance data processes. The role reports to the AVP Tax & Compliance and works closely with finance, investor relations, underwriting, external advisers and legal counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and quality‑review tax workpapers, calculations and supporting schedules for external tax preparers, including PFIC statements, Forms 5471/1120‑F, FATCA/CRS, W‑8/W‑9, Bermuda CIT and tax credit support.
• Analyze investment, investor and entity‑level financial data to identify tax positions, documentation gaps and judgment items.
• Coordinate tax data requests, notices and follow‑up queries from advisers, auditors, investors, shareholders and tax authorities.
• Prepare and coordinate regulatory reporting support such as BMA returns, fund filings, Statutory Financial Return, SEC Form ADV/Form D and economic substance disclosures.
• Support outsourced AML/KYC service provider with investor and entity information for onboarding, periodic reviews and sanctions screening.
• Maintain Dynamo CRM data quality, reporting workflows, calendars, trackers and evidence files, and assist with ad‑hoc tax, compliance and data projects.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA or equivalent).
• 2–6 years of experience in tax, audit, accounting, financial reporting, fund administration, insurance/reinsurance or asset management.
• Exposure to investor tax documentation, FATCA/CRS, IRS filing support, PFIC reporting, Forms 5471/1120‑F, Bermuda CIT or economic substance is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including macros and VBA.
• Data validation and automation techniques.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools for data processing.
