Trust Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Trust Officer to join our Trust Services Provider team. You will support a diverse portfolio of trust structures, ensuring high‑quality administration, compliance and client service under the guidance of senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Administer a portfolio of trust structures in line with internal policies, Bermuda statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Assist the Trust Managing Director in analysing trust deeds, identifying legal, tax, administrative and investment issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date beneficiary information and carry out fiduciary duties prudently.
• Record trust transactions accurately and keep statutory registers complete.
• Organise meetings, draft agendas, minutes and trustee resolutions, and follow up on action items.
• Handle routine filings with the Registrar of Companies, Bermuda Monetary Authority and other regulatory bodies.
• Liaise with tax, accounting, legal advisors, investment managers and banks on client requests.
• Respond to email queries independently and engage proactively with the business.
• Gather and review client due‑diligence information to ensure AML/ATF, sanctions and compliance obligations are met.
• Monitor operational and compliance risks, escalating issues to management as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of client‑facing trust or corporate services experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Holding or studying towards a STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.
• Chartered status or graduate studies with the Corporate Governance Institute (advantageous).
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with minute‑taking experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Viewpoint entity administration software or equivalent.
