US Tax Manager – Investment Management (Bermuda)

About the role

As a Tax Manager you will manage a portfolio of key clients in the Financial Services industry, ensuring high‑quality service throughout the tax engagement cycle while staying current with US tax regulations and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements and develop tax strategies, overseeing the preparation and filing of US tax returns.
• Train and coach teams on tax tools, new technologies and US tax regulations.
• Liaise with key client staff to ensure compliance with US tax regulations.
• Participate in well‑being, sustainability and community initiatives aligned with Deloitte’s Shared Values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Professional designation allowing practice before the US IRS (CPA, attorney, or Enrolled Agent).
• Minimum 5 years of tax services experience in a professional services firm or large public accounting organization.
• Knowledge of US international tax compliance and the Internal Revenue Code.
• Experience with US taxation of investment products, hedge funds or insurance companies.
• Project‑management experience leading engagements and mentoring junior staff.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in accounting/taxation or JD/LLM with a tax focus from a US‑accredited institution.
