Vice President – Bermuda Claims Leader

About the role

AON Bermuda is seeking a Vice President to lead its Bermuda Claims operation from the Hamilton office. The role combines strategic leadership, client advocacy, and operational excellence across multiple insurance lines.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor, develop and engage the claims team, sharing technical knowledge through internal forums and newsletters.
• Act as the client’s advocate with Bermuda insurers, reviewing coverage and shaping strategies for high‑value claims.
• Provide expert advice on claims processes and coverage for Property, Casualty, Cyber, Financial Lines, Healthcare and Professional Indemnity.
• Collaborate with brokers to ensure seamless communication between broking and claims functions.
• Design, document and continuously improve claims processes, procedures and quality standards.
• Lead audits, reserve reviews and claim file governance, ensuring accurate data entry in Aon Claims Co‑Pilot.
• Deliver claims analysis, reports and insights, using data and analytics to improve outcomes.
• Share trends and insights to support policy wording, placements and business development.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of the Bermuda claims market and commercial lines.
• Proven operational leadership with strategic decision‑making experience.
• Ability to manage complex, high‑value claims and engage insurers effectively.
• Strong communication skills with brokers and internal stakeholders.
