Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager will support the Chief Compliance Officer in developing, maintaining and continuously improving Prudential Bermuda’s compliance function and data‑privacy obligations under the Bermuda Personal Information Protection Act 2016. The role focuses on financial‑crime compliance, regulatory adherence, monitoring and reporting while embedding robust data‑protection controls across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
• Assist with compliance monitoring, testing activities and risk mitigation.
• Operate financial‑crime controls including CDD, screening, adverse media reviews and transaction monitoring.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and maintain records for regulator interactions.
• Provide day‑to‑day compliance guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Deliver and track compliance training initiatives.
• Maintain compliance systems and data used for monitoring, screening and reporting.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in compliance, financial crime, risk or related roles, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Working knowledge of the Bermuda Personal Information Protection Act 2016 and core privacy principles.
• Familiarity with AML/ATF/APF frameworks, sanctions and CDD/EDD processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Risk, Compliance or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong written and verbal communication skills.
