High Net Worth Underwriter

About the role

Prudential is looking for a motivated, customer‑focused High Net Worth (HNW) Underwriter to support its global HNW life insurance business. You will deliver timely underwriting decisions for standard to moderately complex cases while ensuring compliance with the company’s risk appetite and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute underwriting assessments for Bermuda‑based policies within assigned authority limits.
• Conduct medical and financial underwriting, including source‑of‑wealth and insurable‑interest analysis.
• Review medical evidence, gather required documentation, and maintain accurate underwriting records.
• Support claims adjudication and post‑issuance underwriting activities.
• Prepare portfolio performance reports and monitor key metrics such as loss and expense ratios.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• University graduate, preferably in Business, Risk Management or a related field.
• 4–8 years of life underwriting experience, including 1–2 years in the HNW segment.
• Professional qualification in life insurance (e.g., FLMI, ALU) is preferred.
• Experience working with reinsurers, compliance, legal and distribution teams.
• Strong analytical attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.
