Bookkeeper – Full‑time On‑site

About the role

Pronto, Bermuda’s leading online grocery service, is looking for a full‑time Bookkeeper to work on‑site in Hamilton. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate ledgers, processing invoices and supporting the finance team with month‑end close and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions, maintain ledgers and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare and review basic financial reports and post journal entries.
• Process invoices, payments and receipts using accounting software.
• Assist with month‑end close and provide documentation for compliance.
• Maintain documentation for audit purposes.
• Support payroll processing as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and management to supply timely financial information.

Required profile

• Strong bookkeeping skills with attention to detail.
• Experience preparing internal financial statements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and basic finance workflows.
• Ability to post and reconcile journal entries according to standards.
• Strong numerical aptitude and good organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaborative on‑site work.
• Prior experience in retail, e‑commerce or grocery operations is an asset.
• Relevant certification or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
