Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team at The Loren in Bermuda. The role supports overall kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment for exceptional dining experiences. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and the Maintenance team to keep the back‑of‑house areas in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties as directed by the culinary team.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, including floors, walls, and surfaces.
• Dispose of waste properly in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Support organization and cleanliness of storage areas.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure kitchen equipment and back‑of‑house areas are kept in good working condition.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards outlined by the company.

Required profile

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an international fine‑dining or high‑end food and beverage operation.
• Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and food safety standards.
• Ability to take direction, work efficiently, and maintain a high level of cleanliness under pressure.
• A proactive team player with attention to detail.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling manual tasks.
