Associate – Insolvency & Dispute Resolution (Bermuda)

About the role

We are seeking an Associate to join a leading international law firm’s Bermuda office, focusing on complex, high‑value cross‑border disputes. The role offers the chance to work alongside highly regarded practitioners and advise an international client base on contentious insolvency and related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of cross‑border contentious insolvency, corporate, commercial, trust, and regulatory disputes.
• Provide technically sound legal advice and responsive service to international clients.
• Conduct complex, high‑value litigation matters independently and as part of a wider team.
• Assist with business development initiatives and help strengthen existing client relationships.
• Support partners and colleagues on significant operational and strategic matters.
• Contribute to the development of practice knowledge, training initiatives, and industry events.

Required profile

• Excellent academic credentials and strong legal training.
• Qualified Bermuda and/or Commonwealth lawyer with approximately 3‑4 years post‑qualification experience at a reputable law firm.
• Proven ability to manage and conduct litigation matters effectively and independently.
• Strong business development skills and commercial awareness.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and supervising junior lawyers.
