Senior Associate / Counsel – Trust & Private Wealth (Bermuda)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel to join our well‑established Trust & Private Wealth practice in Bermuda. The successful candidate will work with sophisticated private clients, professional trustees and financial institutions on complex, high‑value matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise professional trustees, private individuals, families, financial institutions and charities on complex trust and private wealth matters.
• Draft and review trust deeds, supplemental deeds and related documentation.
• Undertake detailed trust law analysis and provide practical legal advice.
• Support wealth structuring, succession planning and family office arrangements.
• Provide regulatory and compliance advice for trusts and private wealth structures.
• Handle non‑contentious and semi‑contentious private client matters.
• Develop long‑term relationships with clients and their professional advisers.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on cross‑border and complex transactions.
• Contribute to business development and the growth of the practice.
• Mentor junior lawyers and support team success.

Required profile

• 6+ years post‑qualification experience in Trusts and Private Wealth/Private Client law.
• Strong knowledge of trust law, wealth structuring and succession planning.
• Experience advising high‑net‑worth individuals, families and institutional clients.
• Proven ability to manage complex, semi‑contentious matters.
• Excellent client relationship and business development skills.
