Litigation Associate – Dispute Resolution

About the role

Our client, a well‑established professional services organisation, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Dispute Resolution team. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, supporting senior legal professionals while handling a diverse commercial litigation caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to senior lawyers on dispute resolution matters.
• Manage a portfolio of commercial litigation files from inception to resolution.
• Appear before courts, tribunals and other adjudicative bodies on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions and other court documents.
• Maintain client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Utilise legal technology and standard business software to streamline case management.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of post‑qualification experience in litigation or dispute resolution.
• Admission to practice in a recognised Commonwealth jurisdiction.
• Strong advocacy experience with proven court and tribunal appearances.
• Demonstrated ability to handle commercial litigation and related dispute matters.
• Excellent research, analytical and drafting abilities.
• High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work additional hours as client needs dictate.

Required skills

• Proficiency with legal technology platforms.
• Competence in standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
