Senior Manager – Wealth & Asset Management Tax (FSO)

About the role

EY’s Financial Services Office (FSO) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead tax compliance and advisory services for wealth and asset‑management clients, including hedge funds, private‑equity funds and mutual funds. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across the globe, delivering tax strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance and advisory engagements for asset‑management clients.
• Manage tax compliance accounts for hedge funds and private‑equity funds, including preparation and sign‑off of K‑1s and partnership tax returns.
• Review securities analysis, identify tax adjustments, and address issues such as wash sales, constructive sales, and straddles.
• Analyze partnership agreements and private placement memorandums for tax implications, including book‑tax allocations, stuffing provisions, and fee structures.
• Oversee day‑to‑day tax activities across multiple locations and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of asset‑management tax, including fund structuring and compliance.
• Ability to analyse complex trading reports and identify tax character and book‑tax differences.
• Experience delivering in‑house training or teaching tax concepts.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and firm leadership.
• Capacity to create a collaborative, trusting team environment.
