Associate Director - Restructuring & Insolvency

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate Director to join its Restructuring & Insolvency team. The role involves delivering advisory and insolvency engagements for mid‑market and multinational clients, working closely with senior Managing Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day delivery of restructuring advisory and insolvency cases.
• Conduct multi‑stakeholder, cross‑border restructuring projects and interim business reviews (IBRs).
• Perform short‑term cash‑flow and capital‑structure analysis.
• Support accelerated sale processes and contingency planning.
• Contribute to business development and client targeting activities.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised qualification (CPA, ACA or ACCA) with restructuring experience.
• Extensive experience in the insolvency/restructuring team of a Big 4 or comparable professional services firm.
• Demonstrated ability to work on company‑side advisory projects, IBRs, cash‑flow analysis, formal insolvency or contingency planning.
• Motivation to expand knowledge across the full range of restructuring offerings.
