Associate – Insolvency & Dispute Resolution (Bermuda)

About the role

Walkers, a leading international law and professional services firm, is seeking an Associate to join its Insolvency & Dispute Resolution (IDR) team in Bermuda. The successful candidate will provide advice on a broad range of cross‑border contentious insolvency, corporate, commercial and trust disputes, supporting both clients and the firm’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on contentious insolvency, creditor and shareholder remedies, general commercial litigation and trust disputes.
• Act as a technical resource, delivering sound expert opinions and responsive service to international clients.
• Develop and maintain existing client relationships and contribute to business‑development initiatives.
• Support partners and colleagues on operational matters of significance to the firm.
• Leverage personal and professional networks to expand the firm’s resources.
• Monitor revenue and profitability targets, recommending strategies for growth.
• Participate in knowledge‑sharing activities, including conferences, seminars and internal training.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in insolvency and dispute resolution.
• Strong analytical ability and capacity to work independently or within a team.
• Excellent client‑service orientation and commercial awareness.
• Proactive approach to business development and firm‑wide initiatives.
