Audit Manager – Insurance (FSO) – Bermuda

About the role

EY’s Financial Services Office (FSO) is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead the insurance practice within its Bermuda, Bahamas and Caribbean (BBC) market. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver assurance services, help clients meet reporting requirements and provide insightful accounting guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of insurance audit engagements, overseeing planning, execution and reporting.
• Lead and coach a team of audit professionals, ensuring they have the tools and development opportunities needed.
• Develop client‑focused audit strategies and perform complex audit procedures.
• Identify and assess risks, propose improvements to audit processes and contribute to business development.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, regulations and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA) with several years of audit experience in the insurance sector.
• Proven ability to manage audit teams and deliver high‑quality audit outcomes.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on risk identification and process improvement.
