Camp Counsellor

About the role

Join the luxury hospitality team at Fairmont Southampton as a Camp Counsellor, delivering safe, engaging and memorable experiences for children in the Kids Explorer Camp. You will work under the Camp Supervisor, creating a warm and inclusive environment that reflects Fairmont’s commitment to exceptional family experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome children and families, ensuring a friendly and comfortable camp atmosphere.
• Supervise children at all times during games, arts & crafts, outdoor play, free play and structured programming.
• Lead daily camp activities such as arts and crafts, sports, storytelling, nature walks and themed adventures.
• Prepare materials, supplies and activity stations as instructed by the Camp Supervisor.
• Communicate courteously with parents/guardians during check‑in/check‑out and share daily highlights.
• Promote confidence, teamwork and enjoyment among children of varying ages and abilities.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, creative and energetic when working with children.
• Ability to supervise and support children of different ages and abilities.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with parents/guardians.
• Team‑oriented mindset, following guidance from the Camp Supervisor.
