Independent Non-Executive Director

About the role

The Independent Non-Executive Director will sit on the board of HODLife, an innovative insurer operating from Bermuda. This part‑time, on‑site position provides objective oversight, strategic guidance and governance support for a company that blends traditional insurance with digital‑asset solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and challenge management’s strategies, policies and performance, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Contribute to long‑term planning, risk management and capital adequacy oversight, especially regarding digital‑asset exposure.
• Participate in board and committee meetings, evaluate financial and operational reports, and uphold strong governance structures.
• Foster a culture of integrity, support robust internal controls and safeguard the interests of policyholders and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong background in corporate governance and board‑level oversight, preferably within financial services or insurance.
• Experience in risk management, compliance and regulatory frameworks, with familiarity with Bermuda or similar jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of digital assets and blockchain technologies and their integration with traditional financial products.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, challenge constructively and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
