Legal Counsel

About the role

Allshores is looking for a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to join its Legal & Compliance team. You will help manage legal and regulatory risk across multiple jurisdictions, supporting business growth and ensuring compliance with a wide range of laws.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on insurance regulation, corporate law, economic substance, trusts, sanctions, AML, licensing and data protection.
• Lead legal support for acquisitions, partnerships, product launches, market expansion and entry into new jurisdictions.
• Interface regularly with regulators and maintain strong regulatory relationships.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements and other legal documentation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise the business on their impact.
• Prepare regulatory submissions, develop policies, procedures and controls.
• Support corporate governance activities, including board and committee documentation.
• Deliver legal training and act as a strategic partner on key transactions.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience interacting with regulators (asset).
• Experience supporting M&A, reorganisations or market‑expansion initiatives (asset).
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships across jurisdictions.
