Technical Assistant – Property & Casualty

About the role

Freisenbruch Insurance Services Ltd. is looking for a motivated Technical Assistant to support its Property & Casualty (P&C) underwriting team. Reporting to the Senior Underwriter & Team Leader, you will provide both technical and administrative assistance to ensure smooth account management and excellent client service.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly policy renewals according to guidelines and authority levels.
• Contact clients to confirm renewals, manage instalment payments, and handle credit‑card and internet payments.
• Prepare and issue statements of account, track accounts receivable and generate ad‑hoc reports.
• Assist underwriters with certificate issuance, new file set‑up, policy cancellations or non‑renewals.
• Support walk‑in clients, provide reception coverage, and liaise with local banks on policy confirmations.
• Collaborate on special projects and perform other tasks as directed by senior management.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass the Bermuda Insurance Institute (B.I.I) Certificate in General Insurance or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer‑service experience in a professional services or corporate environment.
• Basic knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance and underwriting procedures.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
