Underwriting Assistant

About the role

Relm is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support its underwriting team across a portfolio of innovative, specialty‑insurance clients. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to the full policy lifecycle, from quoting and binding to issuance and mid‑term adjustments, while working closely with experienced underwriters in sectors such as digital assets, AI, space, fintech, and biotech.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue quotes, binders, policies and related documentation for assigned business lines.
• Capture underwriting and policy data accurately in internal systems.
• Maintain complete and organized underwriting files, ensuring compliance with internal, risk and regulatory standards.
• Assist with policy lifecycle activities, including new business, renewals and mid‑term adjustments.
• Support underwriting roundtables, team meetings and project work by preparing reports and data.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver business projects and process improvements.
• Help drive continuous improvement of underwriting processes, focusing on data, technology and operational efficiency.
