Vice President, Insurance Management

About the role

Artex is seeking a Vice President of Insurance Management to lead client relationships and oversee service delivery for a portfolio of insurance‑linked securities. The role combines strategic client engagement with oversight of financial reporting, compliance and audit processes within the reinsurance space.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, driving relationship building and service delivery.
• Identify and propose solutions to client service issues and technical queries.
• Coordinate the collateralised reinsurance transformer process and ensure ILS‑related vehicles meet contractual obligations, including interest and dividend payments.
• Oversee preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and review client working papers, management accounts and IFRS/GAAP reports.
• Monitor compliance with client obligations, regulatory requirements and statutory filing obligations.
• Manage and coordinate audit processes, interacting with client personnel and service providers.
• Support proposal and marketing activities, prepare meeting materials and present to clients.
• Develop and maintain client service systems, identifying efficiencies and cost‑control opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop the team through delegation, performance management and training.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA or ACCA).
• Minimum five years recent reinsurance experience in financial reporting, accounting or audit, including at least three years post‑qualification.
• At least two years of demonstrable people‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Bermuda insurance market and its regulatory environment.
