VP I, CRO & Reinsurance Risk Manager North America

About the role

The Vice President, CRO & Reinsurance Risk Manager for North America will join Everest Global Services’ Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Leadership Team. Reporting to the Group Chief Underwriting Officer and working closely with the CEO of Mt. Logan, this senior professional will shape and oversee the risk framework for Everest’s U.S. reinsurance operations and legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain risk management frameworks for all North American reinsurance legal entities, ensuring alignment with the Group ERM framework.
• Lead the annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, prepare reports for regulators and senior leadership.
• Coordinate internal risk reporting to legal‑entity boards, Group ERM and Risk Committees, and establish key risk indicators.
• Support the Compliance function in meeting BMA supervisory requirements and other regulatory obligations.
• Partner with the Reinsurance Division leadership and Mt. Logan’s CEO on risk oversight of strategic initiatives, RCSAs and operational risk heatmaps.
• Promote a strong risk culture across the Global Reinsurance Division, driving effective risk awareness, governance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in reinsurance or insurance risk management, preferably within a North American context.
• Proven track record of leading ERM programs, ORSA reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Strong ability to influence senior executives and work collaboratively across multiple business units.
• Deep understanding of BMA supervision, risk appetite setting and key risk indicator development.
