Actuary (FCIA/FSA) – Pricing for Savings & Retirement

About the role

The Savings & Retirement (S&R) Deal Pricing team at Pacific Life Re is looking for a qualified actuary (FCIA/FSA) to lead pricing activities for reinsurance transactions across global retirement markets. You will work closely with Client Solutions, investment management and ALM teams to deliver bespoke, capital‑efficient solutions for policyholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage stakeholder relationships across Deal Pricing, Client Solutions and investment management to deliver timely quotes.
• Communicate complex pricing, capital and investment concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Own quality‑assurance processes, ensuring accurate pricing outputs with clear audit trails.
• Develop and enhance pricing methodologies, asset strategies and product propositions.
• Lead projects to obtain approval for new pricing approaches and improve existing processes.
• Analyze capital requirements under economic capital, BMA and NAIC RBC regimes.
• Collaborate with the Insurance Pricing team to understand benefit structures and build insurance bases.
• Monitor financial markets and translate market changes into pricing adjustments.

Required profile

• Qualified actuary with FCIA or FSA designation.
• Strong technical background in actuarial or investment analysis.
• Experience in cash‑flow and capital modelling for reinsurance products.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects.
